The legal terms for playing PocketGlobe

Welcome to PocketGlobe. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PocketGlobe mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use PocketGlobe.
1. Acceptance of Terms
PocketGlobe is designed for players of all ages. If you are under the age at which you can consent to digital services in your region, a parent or guardian should review these Terms with you and provide any required permission. If you access PocketGlobe on behalf of another person or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind them to these Terms.
2. Accounts & Eligibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account, including guest sessions created on your device.
PocketGlobe currently uses anonymous authentication with unique identifiers rather than collecting contact details. If we later offer optional account linking or require additional information, we will let you know before those features go live.
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
3. License & Acceptable Use
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial entertainment.
You agree not to:
• Copy, modify, host, or distribute the Service or any part of it without our permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where allowed by law.
• Use automation, scripts, or exploits to gain an advantage in the game or tamper with leaderboards.
• Use the Service for any unlawful, harassing, or malicious purpose.
4. Virtual Items & Purchases
PocketGlobe is currently offered free of charge and does not include paid tiers, subscriptions, or purchasable virtual goods.
If we introduce optional purchases in the future, we will update these Terms and clearly disclose pricing, renewal terms, and refund rights before any transaction occurs.
5. Community Features & Feedback
If you share results, send messages, or otherwise upload content through the Service, you grant PocketGlobe a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and display that content to operate and promote the Service.
You agree that any feedback or suggestions become our property and we may use them without compensation to you.
6. Leaderboards & Beta Features
During beta the Service may include experimental features and temporary leaderboards. We may modify, reset, or remove progress, statistics, cosmetic items, or streaks at any time to maintain game balance or resolve bugs.
We reserve the right to revoke accounts that attempt to manipulate the Service or other players' experience. Any resets or adjustments are solely to preserve fair play and do not affect paid entitlements because none are offered at this time.
7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, PocketGlobe disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PocketGlobe and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using PocketGlobe at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscriptions through your platform account.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.
9. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, excluding conflict-of-law principles. You agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Orange County, California, for any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or via email. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
